Cancer can be treated in different ways. Some treatments are administered separately or in combination with other methods. Arizona Center For Cancer Care offers both Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy.

Chemotherapy:
Chemotherapy destroys cancer cells through the use of medications which can either be taken orally or injected, and work systemically by attacking cancer cells in all parts of the body.

Radiation Therapy:
During radiation therapy, cancer cells are targeted and destroyed using either internal or external radiation. Radiation is used to treat cancers in a specific area, especially if the cancer has not spread. During external radiation therapy, a machine outside the body sends a beam of energy towards the target area. With internal radiation therapy, a small piece of radioactive material is implanted inside the body near the cancer site.
